Summer 2015 was a busy one
If you were lucky enough to be born in the mid eighties, you probably know what I'm talking about. The millennials were in full swing, university was a decade ago, now we have wives.
Choosing a wedding gift is a minefield.
Money in an envelope?.. Feels a bit thoughtless.
That John Lewis wish list?.. How much!?
New salad tosser? Just no.
How can one create something timeless? Well, the answer in our case is to create a few select wedding films. Nothing over the top, just a collection of memories shot simply, beautifully.
These two films (and one excerpt) below were all shot, just me, handheld, in between best man duties and raising a glass.
Technical bit: These were all created shooting 50p Magic Lantern Raw on the Canon 5d Mk3. Mainly sticking to a 70-200 f2.8 L IS. 100% handheld with no tricks. Edited in Adobe Premiere CC, graded in Davinci Resolve using Film Convert.
